Alternative Transportation Options That Will Have You Laughing All the Way to Your Eco-Friendly Vacation Rental

Monika Dorr

Let’s be real, there’s nothing worse than being stuck in traffic during rush hour. It’s hot, it’s stuffy, and you’re surrounded by cars emitting fumes that are slowly choking the life out of our planet. But fear not, dear traveler, for there are many alternative transportation options that are not only eco-friendly, but also hilarious.

Bike It Like You Mean It

If you’re feeling adventurous and want to burn some calories while seeing the sights, a bike is the way to go. Many cities now have bike rental programs, so you can hop on and off whenever you please. Just make sure to bring a helmet and some sunscreen, unless you want to return to your Eco-friendly vacation rental looking like a lobster.

Scoot Over Here

If biking seems a bit too strenuous, why not try a scooter? Not the electric kind, mind you, but the classic kick-scooter. Zip around town like a kid again, and watch as pedestrians do a double-take at the sight of a grown adult on a scooter. Bonus points if you wear knee pads and a helmet.

Unicycle Your Way to Fun

If you really want to impress people, try mastering the unicycle. Not only will you be the coolest person on the block, but you’ll also get a killer workout for your core. Just be prepared for a few falls and some strange looks from passersby.

Rollerblade Your Way to Freedom

If you were a child of the 90s, chances are you had a pair of rollerblades. Dust them off and relive your glory days while getting some fresh air and exercise. Just make sure to avoid any steep hills or busy intersections unless you want to end up in the hospital.

Hop On a Pogo Stick

If you’re feeling really adventurous, give the pogo stick a try. Not only will you look like a complete goofball, but you’ll also get an insane leg workout. Just make sure to wear a helmet and take it slow at first, unless you want to end up with a broken ankle.

So there you have it, folks. A list of alternative transportation options that are not only eco-friendly, but also hilarious. Just remember to be safe and have fun, and don’t forget to book your stay at one of the many Eco-friendly vacation rentals in [city] or Green hotels with eco-friendly amenities. Happy travels!
